Matthew’s Hope

Orange & Brevard County
project details

Matthew's Hope is a fully independent, faith-based, 501(c)3 non-profit outreach that serves the homeless men, women, and children of Orange and Brevard County, Florida. The organization’s goal is to expand the outreach and help those who are homeless to grow emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, and vocationally. Through relationship building and access to a wide range of services and education, Matthew’s Hope engenders an environment where each guest, irrespective of ability, can achieve some semblance of growth and success for themselves.

Porchlight has partnered with Matthew’s Hope Ministries to create transitional housing for individuals and families, accommodating up to eighteen residents. This project involves renovating a former church facility and transforming classrooms into welcoming living spaces. Matthew’s Hope supports residents through their Moving Forward Program, which requires full-time employment, participation in weekly life skills and recovery classes, and adherence to accountability measures like random drug testing.
